This post is just to show you how you can go about performing a "tune up" on your Toyota Tacoma with a 2RZ/3RZ-FE engine. It is best to use OEM brand Plugs (Denso or NGK) and plug wires (Sumitomo).

Sumitomo Wires sold by Toyota part # 90919-22378

Denso Plugs sold by Toyota part # 90919-01176

You can see by the date on these original Tacoma wires that it was time to replace them as they are 10 years old.

The first thing you will want to do is remove the intake tubing so you can access the wires and plugs. Below are some points you will want to disconnect to remove the tubing. The two arrows are pointing to two 12mm nuts that help hold down the metal intake baffle...

Here is a closer look under the baffle at the two nuts...

Now you should be able to remove the plug wires and replace the plugs....

Make sure that you hook up the correct plug wire to the correct coil location. The sides of the coils are marked so that you can get it correct....

I hope this helps and if you have anything to add, please reply to this thread...
