OEM Toyota Radiator Hose 16057-36011 If you have a leak at the upper radiator hose on your 2008 Toyota Rav4, then this may help you. The upper hose has a very brittle nipple that can break or leak. The hose comes as an assembly. Here is what we are looking at... The first thing you can do is remove the small clamp to the hose coming off of that small T junction... You will then want to start working on remove the upper part of the hose and that clamp. There is a plastic clamp that holds a hose and the oxygen sensor wire. Just pinch the V at the top and the clamp should open up... Now this is where I decided to cut the hose in order to make the removal of the clamp easier... Not sure if you saw it but I used a hose pick and some grease to help loosen the hose from around the coolant pipe. Now we can go below and remove the splash shield in order to access the lower part of the hose and drain some coolant..... Here where you can drain the coolant from the petcock and if you look, you can see that this hose clamp is facing up which makes it a pain.... Again, I decided to cut the hose in order to get to the top part of the clamp. I guess you could try getting at it from the top but I didn't in this case. I you try it, let us know how it goes.... Now you can just replace the hose and clamps then fill up the cooling system and your done. Just a side note, the two clamps are different sizes but as with most things on Toyota vehicles, they are color coded to the new part.... Also do everyone a favor and clean off the old dried coolant so no one mistakes that you still have a coolant leak when you don't. Plain water works best in removing the old dried coolant...
