2005 Toyota Corolla Starter Replacement 1ZZ-FE

    If you have to replace your starter on your 2005 Toyota Corolla with the 1ZZ-FE engine, here is how I did it. Video at the end...
    The first step is to disconnect the negative cable on your battery and secure it so that it can't touch the battery terminal.

    The next step is to lower the passenger side splash shield by disengaging the clips and removing the shield...

    You will want to access the starter from underneath the Corolla and disconnect the electrical connector and starter wire.

    Now you can remove the two 14mm bolts holding the starter to the engine...

    We can now go up top and remove the last 14mm bolt holding the starter in....

    You should now be able to lower the starter and pull it out of the bottom....
